Broadband Internet; ATM Networking; Wireless Communications
Research Plan:
1. Broadband Internet - to investigate the advanced networking technologies which can facilitate the broadband services for next generation internet , high-performance transport protocol for real-time multimedia services, as well as the design analysis and simulation of innovative network architectures.
2. ATM Networking - to investigate the control signaling and traffic management in ATM network that accommodate the emerging application technologies, such as collaboration, distributed computing, tele-immersion, database access and audio/video multicast.
3. Wireless Communications - it includes signaling and sublayer control protocol which handle the mobility support, handoff control, and protocol manipulation at base stations or switches within the network.
